Sterling Sllver Sphinx Egyptian Ring
Sterling Silver Sphinx Ring handmade by Maggie of freedomjewelryusa.
This mold has been in my archives for over 30 years. With the resurgence of the metaphysical past, I felt it was time to bring this design to life.
The Sphinx Design is from Greek Mythology, depicting a winged monster of Thebes, having a woman’s head and a lion’s body. It propounded a riddle about the three ages of man, killing those who failed to solve it, until Oedipus was successful, whereupon the Sphinx committed suicide.
Will take approx. 1 week to finish.
8 gram weight, measures: .75″ length and .50″ across with 3/8th inch tall.
Last picture is the torch melting the silver in the crucible right before the centrifuge spin! This is the most exciting and dangerous part of the journey in process!
