Sterling Silver Repousse Buddha Bead
This 1″, 3 gram Sterling Silver Buddha Bead, has been in my collection for as long as I can remember.
Made by a unknown artist, somewhere, a long time ago, with methods long forgotten by the jewelry industry.
A true collectable, this piece was made by hand, each side is a little different. I inserted a sterling rod down the center for a chain, bauble or general use. This piece is hollow, with the 2 sides soldered together as the seam on side provides the design, a technique known as repousse. Each side is a little different, providing proof of origin.
I have never seen anything like this and it is now time for a new admirer.
Holding his “wealth” ball, this little collectable is not one to be missed!
